Thread-topic: (slightly off topic!) port to Linux... development machine
Here is a link to the requirements for SUSE, I don't see any Mac
processors listed though.

Subject: (slightly off topic!) port to Linux... development machine
so we wrote the application in java so we could run on Win32 and OS
X... now they want to extend to Linux too.
Trying to buy a development machine for Linux (and without Windoze
installed) is proving quite hard (I'm in France)!
Would a Mac run Linux? Any Linux? Would it have to be an intel one?
Suse is the preferred option for Linux flavour, as apparently that's
what the majority of potential users have been given.
With both ADC and MSDN subscriptions I would ideally prefer to get a
machine without any OS pre-installed, but that's like looking for
hen's teeth :(
