I thought so too, but using LSBackgroundOnly (instead) seems to do nothing at all in my case - the agent gets a dock icon and a menu!


Hmmm. It's working fine for me. My Info.plist file has an entry named:

LSBackgroundOnly          with type "String" and a value of "1"

BTW: you may need to throw away your build folder before doing your compile. I've had trouble where things were cached and changes to my Info.plist didn't take effect until my app was built into a fresh folder.


It's a strange one all right. The change is definitely being picked up - the behaviour is changing, but not in the way I want.

Do you have an Info.plist I can have a look at? I can't help but wonder if I'm doing something daft.
