Re: Apple took Java 1.6 away...

I feel your pain. Obviously nobody can legally provide you with the Java 6 preview, so asking for it on this list is a little silly.

If you're really in a bind, the ADC Select membership includes the Leopard beta and software seeds that would presumably include a Java seed. I can't speak to this personally, though, as I haven't been able to justify the $499 price tag yet.

Does anyone else wish there was a membership that included just Java software seeds? For that matter, can anyone [legally] confirm that the ADC seeding program includes Java seeds? I would gladly pay a $199 a year for access to Java software seeds, although I suppose that would have to include OS seeds as well. I really don't care about the tech support incidents, hardware discount, compatibility labs access, etc. I just want to stay up to speed with Java on Mac OS X.

My apologies to the list, I know this is not the correct forum, it's just pretty crappy (even for Apple) that they removed the preview before we have access to the real deal.
