Can you be more specific? Can you tell me the output of the following
commands in terminal?

$ /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/ Commands/
java -d64 -version

Okay, my mistake. I was using "Current" instead of "1.5.0"

Current points to an "A" directory(maybe this was mentioned already).
That "A" directory version does not work in 64bit mode.

$ sysctl hw.optional.x86_64

Spits out a 1, everything looks good.

Good.

The bug we have is that passing -d64 to /usr/bin/java does not work.
If you use the full path to the 1.5 binary, it should work.

Now if only X11 would work properly (does not go full screen anymore).
