Re: Graphics much slower under Leopard

Thank you Michael, Mike and Pratik for your suggestions.

I set the "apple.awt.graphics.UseQuartz" property to "true" in the version
1.2 Beta of Sweet Home 3D available at
http://sweethome3d.sourceforge.net/SweetHome3D.1.2.beta.jnlp
and the user I mentioned in my previous message reported to me that Sweet
Home 3D was fast as before. :-)
If some people here want to test the performance difference, you can compare
Sweet Home 3D 1.2 Beta with Sweet Home 3D 1.1 available at :
http://sweethome3d.sourceforge.net/SweetHome3D.jnlp

(notice for future archive readers : Sweet Home 3D 1.2 should be released in
the coming days, so if you want to compare performances between Sweet Home
3D 1.1 and 1.2, you'll have then to download these versions from
https://downloads.sourceforge.net/sweethome3d )

Thank you Mike. I really appreciate your feedback :-)
For people who have doubts about Java Desktop, I hope this is a nice example
of what can be done with Swing and Java 3D (even if it's not perfect !).
I'm looking forward reading the set of Leopard new properties to use them in
Sweet Home 3D in such a way this application integrates better in Mac OS X
(I hope Apple did as well as Quaqua Look and feel !).

Nothing special I can remember of :
- The catalog tree at top left uses default JTree font or an italic version
of the default font ; see lines 185 to 217 in
http://sweethome3d.cvs.sourceforge.net/sweethome3d/SweetHome3D/src/com/eteks
/sweethome3d/swing/CatalogTree.java?hideattic=0&revision=1.31&view=markup
- The furniture table at bottom left doesn't change default JTable font and
there's no call to setFont in that table renderers ; see lines 593 to 851 in
http://sweethome3d.cvs.sourceforge.net/sweethome3d/SweetHome3D/src/com/eteks
/sweethome3d/swing/FurnitureTable.java?hideattic=0&revision=1.48&view=markup

Best regards
