It's actually pretty common in the Mac world for new software to only
support the current OS (10.5) and the previous OS (10.4).  Obviously
you'll have to decide for yourself, but at least consider the
possibility that supporting 10.2 and 10.3 isn't as important as you seem
to think... especially if you're thinking ahead to the next few years
and not just the immediate present.
