I have confirmed that in our case it works correctly on every 32-
bit Mac, and fails on every 64-bit Mac -- even though 1.4.2 is a 32-
bit JVM. I should go verify the JRE version numbers. Both the 32-
bit Macs and the 64-bit Macs involved are using Java for 10.5
Update 1, and I *assume* that the JRE version of 1.4.2 is the same
in both cases, but I want to verify that.
I'm not sure why at 10.5 you still have users on java 1.4.2 but it
sounds like you have a good reason to encourage them to get to 1.5.
Bug fixes that far back probably aren't going to happen. Even if it's
a recent architecture change that's causing it.
