RE: I want to create Java stand alone applications



Yes!  It is quite easy to create java applications, I created a stand-alone java application and even converted the .jar file to an exe, and an app (mac). 

For tutorials, get a book or find a website, examples are everywhere.  anything with a main() function is generally an application.
