Yeah, that in combination with

http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/ ResourceBundle.Control.html

should make localization a bit less of a pain.

Properties p=new Properties();
InputStream stream=new FileInputStream("test.properties");
p.load(new InputStreamReader(stream,"UTF-8"));

this will allow people to translate texts directly in the properties file, instead of having to resort to using command line tools to convert between encodings. Yihaa! :)
