I think this is what they call a "red herring" ...
Someone else mentioned on this list - it doesn't matter how much
physical RAM there actually is, a 32-bit JVM cannot "see" more than
2-3GB, and after the OS and the JVM are done mapping things onto
memory, the likely max is a lot closer to 1.5GB ...
