I am slightly surprised to see that my certificate which is signed
by Thawte Certificate Authority is said to be of "cannot verify the
authenticity".
Isn't the fact that this certificate is signed by Thawte sufficient
to verify the authenticity?
Where are you seeing this. I've used a Thawte certificate without
problems on OS X. Also after following what is at http://www.dallaway.com/acad/webstart/
MacOSX 10.5.5 with Safari, both English and French users, both my
wifes and my laptops.
