Bug #6246256 (which breaks resource loading under Java Web Start) is turning into a bit of a disaster for us. I think I know the unfortunate answer to this, but is there any way to go back to the previous version once a user has installed 'Java for Mac OS X 10.4, Release 7' or 'Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 2'?

Unfortunately, we don't have a good workaround at this time, except for what Bino mentioned in:
http://lists.apple.com/archives/Java-dev/2008/Sep/msg00332.html

Uninstalling, is also, not possible without a full OS reinstall.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response. Bino's workaround doesn't seem to apply to my code. I use getResource() in a few places, but they are all of the form:

rslt = Toolbox.class.getClassLoader().getResource(name);

Unless there's some subtlety about using the ClassLoader instead of delegating via the Class?
