Yes but, Java apps are not native apps. Whatever you do to them.

If you target consumer software for the Mac, Apple strongly hinted a while ago that you should use Objective C and Cocoa.
I'm with Maurizio and Daniel on this. There is probably more that meets the eye in this announcement. We just have to wait. And I bet Mike is not going to tell us much.
