Wow..
That was a surprise given the effort and all the new features put into the latest release (but should probably be expected given what Apple does or Steve says elsewhere these days).
The very specific wording in the deprecation announcement gives me some hope though. Also the work done to support multiple JVMs gives me a reason to be carefully optimistic about the future. So I'm not hugely disappointed yet. I guess we'll have to wait and see, as usual.. :-/
