[OT] Voodoo3

Hello,

Sorry for the OT question - does anybody have any ideas how to get a fixed-
resolution monitor to work with a 3dfx Voodoo3 card? The monitor is
1152x870/75Hz, and V3 should support this resolution/refresh. But, after 6
hours of tinkering around with drivers, mode prefs, control panels etc my
best result is an image that is triple-ghosted vertically, shrunk by 1/3
vertically, offset to the left by 1/5, overlayed with the leftmost 1/5 in
the weirdest way (at an 120 angle), and with an insanely dark gamma (75%
black).

On a side note - the VillageTronic MacPicasso series of Voodoo3 cards seem
to support fixed-resolution monitors. A quote from the webpage:

> However, if you use the original Apple-Monitor Adaptor together with an

monitor sensing ID > Bits. Even if you connect their fixed frequency

I wonder if adding a similar feature to the 3dfx drivers would be possible.

Thanks for any help,
Mietek.
