Well, I didn't explain this very well. I'm rendering offscreen using
the software renderer. I'm drawing maybe a couple hundred polygons at
most and it takes several seconds. This is more than just a couple
times slower than when anti-aliasing is off. It shouldn't be that much
slower, especially when the polygon fill more pixels completely than
partially. If you look at other software renderers like Mesa
anti-aliasing doesn't slow things down nearly that much. I have OpenGL
1.1.3 on a G3.
