Re: 3D Acceleration in 24 Bit color

If I use AGL_ACCELERATED it doesn't work at all...

Am I missing something ?

my computer is Power G4 with an ATI Rage 128 Pro with 16Mo of VRAM,
256 Mo of RAM, Virtual Memory turned on.

Yup, that's what I've run into also. What's happening in my case is that I have 2 monitors, and the first AGLPixelFormat that's returned will work on either/both monitors (and therefor is not accelerated).

However, what's actually being returned is the first PixelFormat in a list of PixelFormats. If you call aglNextPixelFormat you can walk through the list and check each to see if it meets your other requirements with aglDescribePixelFormat, and then call aglChoosePixelFormat again with the proper flags set, and giving it a device, and a device number.

If anyone needs some sample code showing this, send me an email offlist, and I'll send you some (it's a little big to send to a list ;).

bye :)
