I do a lot of compile/test cycles with a carbon (AGL) based app, and very
often at launch time when the GL window appears the whole display freezes,
with the app icon locked in the process ofl bouncing in the dock.
The whole display is locked up. If I'm VERY quick I can ssh from another
machine and quickly shutdown -r now, and that will eventualy reboot the
machine (after like 2 minutes of nothing happening).
If I wait too long, the machine locks up solid, and I have to pull the plug.
Anyone seen that behaviour ? I had that in 10.3.6, and now .7.
Machine is a 2*1.42 2GB, with a retail 9800 Pro, with an up-to-date rom.
The app doesn't use any extensions.
Of course I have no log or anything, since the display is gone when the lockup
occurs. I'm in the process changing the app to send the printf console to
another machine to try to pinpoint when the freeze occurs.
Anyone experienced that ? It makes the development process *painful* to say
the least. Feels like OS <9 days when one had a bad crashy bug... :(
