I do a lot of compile/test cycles with a carbon (AGL) based app, and
very
often at launch time when the GL window appears the whole display
freezes,
with the app icon locked in the process ofl bouncing in the dock.
The whole display is locked up. If I'm VERY quick I can ssh from
another
machine and quickly shutdown -r now, and that will eventualy reboot the
machine (after like 2 minutes of nothing happening).
If I wait too long, the machine locks up solid, and I have to pull the
plug.
Anyone seen that behaviour ? I had that in 10.3.6, and now .7.
We had a problem very similar to that on certain machines when we were
developing our PBuffer code. Certain sequences of CGL calls were just
"wrong" in some way, and the entire machine would go. Often ssh access
would still work, but usually it was to no avail.
I don't suppose you're using PBuffers by any chance?
