... but this all does not help if the provided "trace" of function calls is
wrong... SORRY.
If you had believed in my wrong function-call-trace, I probably would have
never found the problem.
You are right. After some deeper analysis of my code (which is quite complex)
I found another call to my initGL function (which is used also for changing
the viewport and so on), which is done _before_ the glutCreateWindow.
So thanks for your hint!
