I tried firstly to use GL_TEXTURE_2D, then GL_TEXTURE_RECTANGLE_EXT
which
seems to be even slower. Am I using a wrong method to write the movie
to the
video card? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Yeah, pretty much. There are a bunch of crucial optimizations you're
not doing.
Take a look at the Apple sample code for this, or here:
I could run 640x480 movies at full framerate through OpenGL on a 733
with a GeForce 2MX, so I'd be very surprised if you can't do what you
need.
