Tiger (10.4) is still under NDA so no public documents that go into much detail yet exist.

I am not sure anyone has ever done a comparison between OpenGL on Linux and OpenGL on Mac OS X but Apple OpenGL model is a little different then the rest, for example even it provides for robust multi-screen support if different adapters (from different vendors) are involved.

So don't think you find many folks that can give must of an answer that isn't mostly subjective (then again you question implies such an answer).
