My first IDE was Think C (anybody remember that?), then Codewarrior,
now Xcode, but personaly, I find the command line tools much easier,
much more powerfull but above all - much faster.
When you say the command-line tools are faster, are you referring to
the compile times or something else? In my tests here, CodeWarrior's
IDE bests gcc and XCode in compile times (by a significant margin)
unless I have a bank of distributed Macs to build with. In my daily
usage, compile times are the most important time restraint I face.
