This reminds me that we have a rather extensive Direct3D testsuit for our 
d3d -> opengl mapper which I have used to find(and report) a number of bugs. 
In case anyone at Apple is interested to set it up for testing he is free to 
do so(LGPL), and I can provide assistance with the setup.

For reporting bugs I usually write a small standalone test application, which 
helps to strip down the number of factors contributing to the bug. However, 
our d3d tests are helpful for isolating bugs since no many-gig Win32 binary 
blob is involved.
