RE: Multiple 8800GT's on one machine

Thanx for the info.

Just to make sure I understand you, the limit of 2 comes from the fact that there are only 2 power connectors in the machine?

Also, will I be able to route my processes to use the cards as I wish?

thanx

Yaron

You can put 2 in one of the new Mac Pros.  They both require external power connectors, and there are only 2 in the machine.

Hi,

Is there a possibility to put multiple 8800GT cards on one Mac?

I want to build an image processing server. Each request will be handled by a separate process on the machine. I thought I could install several graphic cards on one machine and have each process use the most available one to boost performance. Is something like that possible?

Thanx
