Migrating from MM 1.3

We are finally making the jump from MM 1.3. I want to move the users over to my 10.2 server. I tried to follow the advise from the 10.3 server migration docs I found but I really feel lost. When I ran the ASIP export all the users showed up as login disabled and when I imported them they, of course, were login disabled and didn't have home directories, etc. All messed up.

I think maybe I'm going about this wrong. The users don't really have ASIP accounts, I think. They are set up to log in to MM 1.3, they mount a volume with the same user id and password that magically distinguishes them from other users' folders.

I didn't set this system up and I don't really know a lot about MM (yes, just a school volunteer) and I am wondering if whoever set up the system to begin with set it up in a way that worked adequately but maybe not the best way.

I'd really like to take the Macintosh Manager id's, passwords and files and move them to Workgroup Manager in a transparent way without having to set up 400+ accounts and issue new passwords. And I need to do it now because we just got a pile of eMacs that will not boot OS 9. Anyone know now to use open firmware to boot OS 9 ?

Can someone tell where I'll find the 10.2 server guides or offer some advise ? I want to RTFM but I'm having trouble finding the right FM to read.
