MySQL connection from OSX

We are trying to write some information to a MySQL server from OSX machines
but we can't find a way to connect to the database server. The script is
written in Perl and tracks users log in/out time. Is there a MySQL Database
module for Perl that comes with OSX? Any help is greatly appreciated.
