Samba only provide the file server for Jaguar and Panther, not the file
client. The client on Jaguar is only NTLMv1, and the client on Panther is
NTLMv1 or Kerberos. As far as I know, there is no way to disable the LanMan
password hashes so that Panther does not send them. Also, neither OS does
SMB Signing.

DAVE does support NTLMv2, Kerberos and Signing.
