System-wide startup item

Thanks to you-all I have successfully made an apple script that logs on to
my computer in samba. Other than placing the script in each user's startup
items folder, is there any way to run this script when the computer itself
is booted up? That would save me the hassle of placing the script in each
user's account each semester.
