Volume mount applescript

I've been using the following applescript in the startup folder to automount a server from OS 9, avoiding the unlock keychain dialog, so users needn't enter a username and password.

mount volume afp://username:email@hidden.2/volumename

All works fine except for the baffling fact that the script will only mount 9 clients. There are ten clients in the room, and the last one to boot always returns an error message. The same last client can then be mounted manually from the chooser. Any ideas on this?
