DNS settings...

In June there was a thread entitled 'Temporarily changing DNS servers and
search domains in Tiger" which I've read with interest. I've been
experimenteing with the suggestions offered in that thread with little
little success.

In my 'vpn-ish' application I too am using the tun device. Prior to
Tiger I modified resolv.conf when I wanted to add additional nameservers
(at the beginning of the list) and also an additional domains on the
'search' line.

Now I'm experimenting with the techniques described in the thread I
mentioned above.

Is this the approach I should be taking?

I've created a network service:

> show State:/Network/Service/moss/IPv4
<dictionary> {
  DestAddresses : <array> {
    0 : 10.116.252.1
  }
  Addresses : <array> {
    0 : 10.116.252.2
  }
  OverridePrimary : 1
  InterfaceName : <array> {
    0 : tun0
  }
}

> show State:/Network/Service/moss/DNS
<dictionary> {
  ServerAddresses : <array> {
    0 : 216.228.2.148
  }
}

What other keys do I need to concern myself with? scutil shows my changes
but the rest of the system never seems to pick up my intent.

I apologize if I've made any terminology blunders here, I'm new to Mac
programming (I come from a Unix background). This app is using 'c' and
Carbon.  Thanks.
