[resend] Getting the ad-hoc network name?

I don't think I've ever re-posted to a list before, but I sure would like to get some sort of an answer to the following question.

How does one programmatically go about getting the name of the ad-hoc
network the user has specified from the "Create Network" AirPort menu?

I don't see it anywhere in my walks through scutil's output.
