Do OSXS sysadmins backup?

Are you an OSXS sysadmin?
Do you perform backups of your OSXS?
If yes, what do you use for software/hardware?

I've seen several vendors info but I'm really
weary of the sales pitch promising everything.
I desperately need a local automated backup
solution for a G4 OSXS out of the box July'00
version. I don't see backing up only the mac
partition to another networked mac as a
permanent solution.

I have the only OSXS here at ASU, any help
is greatly appreciated.
