boot up time for stations

Hi
Sorry if this is a faq. What`s a reasonable boot up time for stations hanging off the server. I have a room of imacs, some of which take several minutes to get to the login screen.
They are also not able to get an IP address from a win2000 based DHCP server, though I can assign some statics. These are not netboot stations btw.
