Tell me more about these Desktop D* files. Are they on the server or the client? ( I know that they exist on Mac OS, but am not aware of a deleterious effect on OSXS.)

And yes, I am running OSXS, but have not had the problem I described when doing true streaming, only on so-called "progressive-download" streaming. What workaround do you refer to?
