Re: QuickDNS

It's a DNS server made by Men and Mice Software for the Mac
OS. Hadn't heard specifically that it will be on Mac OS X,
but that makes sense. Can't think of why they wouldn't do
that.

It's pretty easy to set up and use and has been really solid
for me. I've been using it as my secondary DNS for some time
and haven't had a single problem with it. It's got a nice
GUI that makes for much simpler domain configuration -- no
messing with zone files. I have had pretty good luck with
BIND as well until this weekend, when I upgraded to 8.2.3
because of the security hole they discovered. I've heard
people complain about BIND's bugs before, but this time I
ran into one -- I found that the update also managed to honk
up about 25% of my zone files, removing key carriage
returns, which caused those domains to stop working.

QuickDNS has some pretty nice features and I will be happy
to see it on MOSXS.
