Greetings All,
I downloaded from the Apple Website mySQL version 3.23.46. I installed it and added the last two commands, as told in the documentation, but received an error.

First, you might want to surf over to MySQL.com and pick up the latest stable release, 3.23.51. They offer a source distribution as well as two binary distributions, one with all the popular options built in. You basically untar and you're done.

020731 15:57:11 mysqld started
020731 15:57:11 /Library/mySQL/libexec/mysqld: Table 'mysql.host' doesn't exist
020731 15:57:11 mysqld ended

In the terminal, it said that mysql ended, but the above text was written in the error file. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

It looks like you might not have built the databases. Did you execute the mysql_install_db script?
