NetInfo question

I'm sure the answer will be to wait for 10.2, but hoping someone will give a
better answer:

I'm trying to setup a simple netinfo structure, or so I think.

Server1 hosts the root domain - I get that setup just fine.
I'd like server2 to host a 'lab' domain, plus maintain a clone of the root
domain.

Following the NetInfo guide, I setup Server1 to be a parent.
I setup Server2 to be a parent
I then edited both systems, adding server info for each other

This works fine and I can connect from a child of server2 using an account
in server2/network or server1/network

Having duplicate tags like this prevents me from creating the clone (I
already have netinfod as master for network)

If I follow the guide to create yet another domain, my server now has 1
domain too many, local, network and my new one (labroot) - I just want 2!

How can I just rename the network tag on server2? The gui doesn't give you
the ability to use anything but network and I can't seem to find a rename
command in niutil or nidomain

I see the alias utility, it seems like a cludge to create an alias for
network on the root (server1) and then force everyone to use that, so that I
can then create a clone of the alias (assuming that would even work)

Anyone have a tip (keeping in mind I can't wait for 10.2)

Thanks
Steve
