If having reverse DNS set up would make things run smoother in general, I'm

googled to see if I could find any useful info on getting reverse dns going
with OSX Server, but wasn't able to find anything.

Webmin is a nice free interface to the DNS tools (and many other tools).

Install Dev Tools
Go to www.webmin.com
download Webmin 0.99
Open up Terminal
sudo -s (this will give you a new shell with root perms...if you're uncomfortable with this, then use regular sudo)
mv webmin-0.990.tar.gz /usr/local
cd /usr/local
tar -zxpf webmin-0.990.tar.gz
mkdir /Where/You/Want/Webmin/Prefs
mkdir /Where/You/Want/Webmin/Logs
cd webmin-0.990
./setup.sh
Tell it where to save its prefs, & where to save logs. Tell it where perl is. Tell it to auto-launch on boot. It will autodetect OS and churn for a bit.

Then you can open a web browser to https://YourServerAddie:10000 and get a kewl web interface & login.

Click "System", & then "BIND".
