I am running a G4 867Mhz 10.2.5 Server. 360 odd users are OS9 thru Mac mgr
restricted access on approx. 50 imacs (10 Power mac's)
Launcher - I am trying to use launcher on the OS9 clients as per clients
request. Users are restricted level. Want to use launcher items instead of
items for group. I tried to start up launcher in the users library, classic,
startupItems folder but error launcher can't be opened because not enough
priv's. I tried to change launcher in startupitems folder to MMUser owner
but even at root on server I can't change owner. Can I have launcher startup
for users? Can we configure launcher items for the group?
Passwords - All my users have to change their password. Can this be set-up
to force @ next login. Each time I set-up to 'force p/w change @ next
login' (user advanced options) error received @ client "unknown error while
trying to authenticate user". (Password server is on; login shell none;
Macmgr global setting 'users can change p/w's'.) Can we do a single 'change
p/w' instruction for all users or 1 user at a time? Why error re
authenticating user for force ch. p/w.
