mounting firewire drive on boot before login?

Hi,

I have a firewire drive connected to an Xserve, but it won't mount after
booting until I log in - I can subsequently log out and it still stays
mounted - I can see it if I ssh onto the server and df.

If I were to reboot the server remotely then it wouldn't mount the firewire
drive and subsequently nightly backups would fail. (btw the firewire drive
is located in a firesafe)

How can I get it to mount the firewire drive on boot before login?

Cheers,

Ant
