Re: Webmin Dangers on OSX server - Apache?

Excuse me Mr. "Pot calling the kettle black", but complaining about complainers is a waste of time.

Looks like you are complaining about the complaining complainer's complaining about the last complainer? It's a vicious cycle.

Second off, I don't remember a single post from this Anita person doing anything other than advertising her product. In fact, going through my email I have 15 messages ranging from May 2002 ALL suggesting people use Tenon's products.

Seems like free advertising to me.

Again, it amazes me to no end the level of stupidity that emanates from this list. Duh, how does a mailing list work?

1. Someone asks a question of the list.
2. Others respond with possible answers to the question, usually on the list so as to benefit the whole list with the solution and or solutions the original question.

So, question is "how can I do something?" Software developer says, "hey, my product will do that for you." Whoopee. Who gives a crap if it is a developer, consultant, or just the average consumer answering the question? Answering a question where you are obviously biased is certainly not a crime, and can hardly be construed as an "advertisement." Heck, 99.9% of what most say in response to a question is generally heavily laden with some type of bias, or pre-disposition to a certain point of view, or experience. Again, who gives a crap.

It is either ignorance, or some other equally frustrated nay-sayer who is obviously just as biased in their own opinions.

So using the methodology of those that would call that post an "advertisement"; lets suppose I the average consumer of server software, just happened to mention one product as a solution to a given problem. Am I now a proponent and or evangelist for that product?

I realize that not everyone on this list is an ignorant ingrate, however this one seems to carry more than its share.

God forbid someone from Apple recommend an "Apple Centric" solution to a problem posed by a question on this list. We may have to accuse them of "advertising".
