There were 3 easy steps to follow, step 1 was to use the "changeip"
tool in the terminal. I just typed in "# changeip - oldip newip".
Step 2 was to go inth the Network pane and change the server's IP
address from there as well. The last step is to restart the server.

As long as you are a standalone server this is correct.

Everything seems to be ok, but I have 2 problems. It seems that I can access my web page with the IP address, but I can't access it with the URL name. For example, I can gain access to my site using "http://134.xx.xx.xx";, but I can't gain access when I type in the URL name: "http://www.mypage.com"; Does anyone have any idea as to how I allow this mapping to work? I'm thinking that maybe I need to open port 80 to allow users to access it, but i'm not sure?

Check your web settings in SA. Make sure that you have a site active for the new IP address. It probably still has the old one listed.
