We use squid for caching and authentication, and dansguardian for
content filtering. For now, users are prompted for their proxy password
when they begin a web surfing session, and this authenticates against
our Mac OS X LDAP user database. I plan on throwing Kerb into the mix
Real Soon Now, so users are authenticated and authorized for the web
without being prompted. I'll post a story about it when I'm done.
Cheers
