| Don't forget you also need to stop the SAN volume, unmount it from the clients and then in Xsan Admin --> Setup --> Storage --> Click and edit the volume and check off the "Access Control Lists: Enable on this volume" check box. Its on page 100 of the 1.4 admin guide found here: http://images.apple.com/server/pdfs/Xsan_Admin_Guide_v1.4.pdf Then you can start up your volume and mount your clients once the SAN has written the settings to the volume.
