bootcamp maybe possible if you have access to all the necessary
drivers, but virtualization is a waste of hw as you won't have support
of all cores amongst other things.

imo, bootcamp AND virtualization is a bad approach for this application.

if you're looking for solid x86 hardware with good support, then get
an opteron sun server.
