Clearing degraded status on software RAID when drives report as Okey Dokey Pro

(this post is not about Okey Dokey Pro)

What is the procedure for clearing the degraded status of a software mirror
in Panther Server's disk utility when both drives in the mirror report as OK
in both disk utility and using diskutil in terminal?

I saw that Apple has this:
(which I found with google but not with search on Apple's website)

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107406

It basically says ignore the degraded condition but I wondered if anyone had
advice since I have seen in the archives others asking about this same
problem. If a degraded condition were to happen after today, I would have to
constantly look at the drives status, since the warning is always up.
