| greetings I have a mail system with heavy usage , 2000 + users slamming the mail system. Cpus's are maxed DP 1.2ghz G4. Mail delivery is slow. The Queue is jammed up with about 800 messages that are taking forever to deliver. I have flushed the queue " postqueue -f " , that helps a little. Postfix reload - no effect. deleted deferred or bounced messages postsuper -d 1234567 still, queue is fat and delay times are showing signs that something jammed up about an hour ago. how do i reset delivery from postfix to cyrus, or should I either stop services and restart services. I really hate to do that during operations. i know if i could get my users to quit hitting it for a while things would mellow out, But i need to find a way to rapidly move this mail to the appropriate mailbox. insight, suggestions, flames welcome. -j ----------------------------------- jeff donovan /∆\ basd network operations \V/ (610) 807 5571 x41 (x) AIM xtdonovan // \\ |
