Re: fibre channel hardware question



Be aware that the entire switch has to run at the slowest speed of the connected devices.  For example I have several XServes and an XRaid that can connect at 2G but my Tape library runs at only 1Gb so I had to set all devices to run at 1Gb.

I'm achieving 200 MB reads and 97 MB writes on XServe XEON and XServe RAID configured with RAID5 with that switch .
