Xserve hardware test on G4 cluster node?

Does anyone know how to get a G4 Cluster Node Xserve to boot the Xserve hardware test CD?

I tried hooking up my MacBook in target disk mode with the CD in it, like I use for installing the system on them, but it wouldn't boot from the CD. It did see the CD once booted though, but I still could not select in the Startup Disk pref pane.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
